Verbs / Verb Groups!

Hey,

Thank you all for your support so far, I’m finding the feedback very helpful.
Would someone be able to confirm that I have identified the correct verb or verb group in these sentences?

‘The reasons for linguistic conflicts can vary greatly.’ - can vary
‘He could not understand her passion for vampire movies.’ - could understand
‘In New Zealand, winds from a westerly quarter prevail in all seasons.’ - from
‘The planners have belatedly added extra parking spaces.’ - Have or Added

Thanks
