verbs are always followed by to + first form

Hi,

I read that some verbs are always followed by to + first form i.e. verbs followed by infinitives only.

Eg: The company managed to attract some customers, reducing the losses.

I found a list of such verbs in my grammar text book. One such verb listed in my book is turn. Could you tell me how this verb can be used with infinitives?

Thanks,
Richards.

Hi, Does anyone have any suggestion? I did some search on internet. But I was not able to find a convincing answer.

I ran for several blocks but the bully kept after me. Finally I could run no more and so I turned to confront him.
