Verbs and tenses

Hi,

A talks about some interesting place experiencing an amazing event for the time being, and B says:

I would like I was/were there now.

Here the first choice is, to me, was. But the sentence is in unreal mode making the point of view go towards were, and on the other hand we don't have any subjunctive mood verbs here.

So what would be your interpretation, please?

Both choices are wrong. These are correct: I would like to be there now. I wish I was/were there now.
