Verbs

Currently, I am doing an assignment that requires me to circle the correct verb that goes with a pronoun. Is there a list of verbs or a rule that tells me which verbs are singular or plural?

For example:

No one (plans, plan) an outdoor party in a thunderstorm?

Few from our school (compete, competes) every month.

none of the runners (refuse, refuses) the cool water.
