These are used almost exclusively in two expressions:


"I have to think about that." (this is used to delay answering or doing something you don't want to answer or do - you cannot use "think of" here)

"I can't think of anything." (this is used to avoid answering a question you don't want to answer - you cannot use "think about" here)
