Is the following the most natural and a correct expression: "I'm talking about my and Steve's family"? Families? Thank you!

Perhaps more graceful, if two families are involved: ....Steve's family and mine.

Thanks so far, is it also correct to say (I'm just referring to the grammar, I know it's not the politest way): "my family and Steve's." ?
