Verb without pronoun?

Hi! I want to change the structure of a sentence but I want it to keep the same meaning.
This is the sentence:
After we lived in Mexico, we settled in Chile.

I wonder if I can take the pronoun off in the first clause (i.e.: After living in Mexico...)

Thank you.
May the force be with you

Hello J77

Yes; though it would be more comfortable with an adverbial phrase of time:

'After living in Mexico for a few years, we settled in Chile.'
