Verb: Used to

Hi Teachers,

In this sentence, 'used to' is a simple past verb. My question is, is there a simple present tense of this verb?

I guess not. Am I right?

Edward Coke used to be an army officer, but he is in prison now.

I know it expresses past time. My question is, 'Is there the equivalent for present or future'?

I used to be an army officer.

I live in the US. I am living in the US.

(with the future, don't know why, I don't want to use live...I am prompted to use move to...Somebody help?)

I (am going to/will) (move to/live in) the US.

I am going to become an army officer.

I guess there is no equivalent for this verb, since it only expresses something that was true in the past and no longer exist.

Yes there is,but quite different.But your example isnot the way to convey the present simple meaning.It's better to change it:

Edward Coke is used to being an army officer.
