Verb tenses

is this sentence acceptable? do i still follow the rule on the agreement of tenses?

This is her first project that received a positive response?

Is there a rule that in one sentence, only one tense should be used? or still depends on the context?
please explain to me when it is acceptable to use different tenses in one sentence?

This is OK. You can definitely use different tenses in one sentence to indicate something happened before or after something else. This is her first project -- lying here on the desk now -- that received a positive resonse -- yesterday.
