Hello, I've got a problem, because I have to do my homework and I am not sure about my answers. Could someone help me with this exercise?
Signals - the following exercise practises signal words. First highlight the signal words, then fill in the blanks with the correct form:
1) They ...............(meet) at Easter. It ................... (be) love at first sight. They........................ (go) out now for six months. When I ................. (see) Greg the other day, he ....................... (say) they ........................... (get) engaged soon. I .................................. (not; see) Angie lately, but when I ......................... (bump) into her in town a month ago, she ....................... (expect) to get married just before Christmas.
I've filled in - They MET at Easter. It WAS love at first sight. THEY have been going out now for six months. When I saw Greg the other day, he SAID they WILL get engaged soon. I HAVE NOT SEEN Angie lately, but when I BUMPED into her in town a month ago, she HAS EXPECTED to get married just before Christmas.
Thank YOU! :-)
