Verb Tense help!

The sentence 'My laptop is fixed' seems fine to me.But grammatically it violates the rule that verbs must be written in the same tense..here 'is' is present and 'fixed' is past. How could it be this way???

But,i know, when we use passive form it can be written this way.Can you explain me how is this possible???Can u give me more eg of such sentences...

Thanks..
