Verb Subcategories

Can somebody help me with these subcategories of verbs? Can't understand them. I would like some examples on sentences...

Except for the 'prepositional' type, we normally use these names for clause types, not just for verbs: Monotransitive (S-P-O d ): has a single NP object – We ate our lunch. Intranstive (S-P): has no objects – We hesitated. Ditranstive (S-P-O i -O d ): has two objects, indirect and direct – I lent Jim my car .
