Verb Problems

Are these sentences correct?


1) I work hard so that I will not fail. (Is this sentence grammatically correct?)

I work hard so that I may not fail. (Is this one more appropriate?)


2)You had better consulted me. (I know this is correct but can the verb 'consult' take other forms like 'been consulted', 'being consulted'?)
