What part of speech is "waiting" in the sentence below? Is it part of the verb, or is it a verbal?

Yeah, 'waiting' is the main verb in this sentence (I think). 'is' is finite, and 'waiting' is a non-finite present participle (or indicative of 'progressive' aspect)
