Verb form with 'after'

Hi,

I have a doubt about the correct verb form to use with 'after'. Is this correct?:

"it will be examined in the next paragraph after we have introduced the topic of....."

Is it right to use the present perfect in the second part of the sentence?

Thank you.

I don’t recommend it. I would use the simple past.

Aspara Gus I would use the simple past.
I wouldn't use that at all in that sentence. For me, it has to be 'after we examine' or 'when/after we have examined'. The past simple is not natural.

This may be a British/American difference.

I agree. I meant after we examine, yet I thought "simple past". (What’s wrong with me?)

The present perfect doesn’t sound as natural to me.

'after we examine' or 'when/after we have examined'. I have come across the usage of present perfect with after\when in exams and course books many times.

This post reminded me of a mistake that I made by using present perfect tense in the main clause with after. I know I mustn't use it, though. (confession)

All of these combinations are fine.

[We examine it / We will examine it / We are going to examin
