Verb 'await'

MS Word (although not fully reliable) picks up the following as an error:

We await his response.

It doesn't seem to like using await thus.

Do you accept it? I thought we use await + Object or wait + for + object

This looks fine to me meaning "We are waiting for his response". I just tried it in my MS word. which is set to UK English, and I had no problem with the phrase.

This looks fine to me meaning "We are waiting for his response".

I just tried it in my MS word. which is set to UK English, and I had no problem with the phrase.
