Grammar

Verb

Hi,

I was wondering if it is normal to say," I want to go out exercising?" or "I want to go out to exerciise?" Sometimes they are grammatically correct but for English speaker, I always heard they said that some sentences feel weird. So are they those sound weird to their ears?

Thanks,

Ryan

" This form seems the norm to me. I commonly say 'I'm going to go running'. I don't say 'out', although it's not wrong.

  • " This form seems the norm to me.
  • I commonly say 'I'm going to go running'.
  • I don't say 'out', although it's not wrong.
  • In my opinion, it would be more normal to specify the type of exercising, eg running / walking / playing tennis.
