Hi guys

If all of us are leaving for Australia for good, which of the following sentences is / are appropriate?

1. My family is migrating to Australia. We have decided to live there.

2. My family are migrating to Australia. We have decided to live there.

3. My family is emigrating to Australia. We have decided to live there.

4. My family are emigrating to Australia. We have decided to live there.

I'm confused by which words to use.

I would use solely is, even if there is a distinct possibility of there being more than one appropriate sentence.

1. My family is migrating

3. if you want to emphasize family as a single unit / group
4. if you want to emphasize the plurality of family members
