Venetian blind

Can we use the same verbs with "blinds" as we do with "curtains" ?
For example ,1. "Please draw the blinds".
2. "Please pull back the blinds".

Top answer

It depends on what kind of blinds you speak of. There are vertical 'Venetian blinds' that can be drawn back, but the horizontal ones cannot; they can only be drawn up.
