Various nuances of meaning

In/By my experience as a non-English native, there are many various nuances of meaning we are easy to fail to grasp, except for a language savvy.

for example:

1. In/By my experience - for non-English natives, they will consider "in" and "by" the same in this phrase, but for English natives, there is a difference between them.

2. plead with or to: for English natives, it is natural for them to choose "with" because they understand the the subtle nuances of meaning of each word. But for non-English natives, they will think "to" is the correct preposition to the verb, because they do not understand its underlying meaning. And sometimes, at the very worst, they won't collocate other prepositions with the verb.

Most students have the problems learning tenses and prepositions. Sometimes, that is where misunderstandings occur.
