Variety vs. Hollywood Reporter

Ok, I have been a Hollywood Reporter subscriber for about five years now. My current subscription is close to an end and i am unsure of renewing it or not. I've only read a couple of issues of Variety, but I might change to variety for a year or two. But before I take that leap and double the subscription cost (variety will cost me $279 for the Weekly version whilst HR renewal will cost me $145, normally $175 but if I wait a couple of weeks extra they will send me a "Oh Nooo" notice and pull me back in with an improved offer) I wanted to ask you guys which of the two you read and why. And why should I choose variety instead of HR? And so on.

Any comment?

f*** you in the ass while we jerk you off!
That'll show you what we do to perverts around here!"

I actually buy both but get a discount through group affiliation...

Both have great resources, I think the Variety on-line resources are a bit more comprehensive...
