Vacation time

Hi!

Please, if a group want to spend their vacation together, but they don't want to book it through a travel agency, I mean they don' want to have a package vacation, is it correct to say that they'll opt for a do-it-yourself vacation?

By the way is it correct to say a group want? Because I'm taking into consideration each one of its members.

Thank you,

Ariel

A "do-it-yourself vacation" isn't bad... maybe "self-planned vacation" would be better. No, a group wants (plural).

No, a group wants (plural). To express the individual desires of each member, it would be better to say, "the members of the group want."
