Vocabulary

V shape

Hello,

I'm wondering what's the proper way of writing "a V shape"?
Should v be capitalised - V or/and put into quotation marks "V"?

The sentence is as follows:

"Bob's hair is forming a V shape."

Thank you

The sentence itself is not quite right. You'd say this as: "Bob's hair is shaped like a V."

You have done it right, but there are other problems. The progressive is probably not right, and with "form" we don't normally use "shape": Bob's hair forms a V. We might write "Bob's hair is V-shaped."

"with "form" we don't normally use "shape"

Thank you, Enoon, for telling me this.
