May I ask about the usual words to describe men's and women's wear? (like shirt, dress) Thanks in advance.

Once I wanted to describe what a woman was wearing to a friend in an email. I didn't know many words about clothes for women. I only knew "coat", "outfit"

I teach English as a Second Language and these vocabulary lists are very helpful. It's difficult to just think up a list of parts of the body or occupations when you need

No, the usual polite forms are "May I ask your name?" and "Can I ask your name?" If you're in that difficult situation where you feel you should already know the person's name, you can say "I'm sorry, but I didn't catch your name".

I remember once a lady asked me that. ("You are Mr.?") I replied with my name. I got to tell her my name as she was of higher rank, and I was just a new staff member in the company.
