Using will or would

If somebody says:"I am planning on treating you to your favorite dish", do I use :"You would treat me to my favorite food?" or "You will treat me to my favorite food?" I've read that would is for used for preferences or choices, but will may also be used because of future tense. What exactly is more appropriate?
