Using Will In 'When' Clauses? take 2

I have read this thread but it couldn't answer my question.

https://www.EnglishForward.com/English/UsingWillInWhenClauses/zgdlk/post.htm

The sentence:

When you are in front of the house dial the number 0 on the door phone and press the green button to ring.

Would "when you will be" be correct?

Top answer

Askew Would "when you will be" be correct? No. When when begins a temporal subordinate clause, the future tense cannot be used except perhaps in some rare cases when will indicates desire or willingness, which meaning is a remnant from the days of Old English.
