Using vacancies referred to seats in a class

Is it correct to use the noun ‘vacancy’ to refer to the amount of students that are allowed into a course in a university?

My goal is to write a notice like the one below, and my doubt is because I have just seen ‘vacancy’ related to jobs, rather than seats in a class.

Electrical Engineering:

- Vacancies: 20 students

- Class starting: March 2017

Industrial Computer Sciences:

- Vacancies: 18 students

- Class starting: April 2017

Thank you!
