Using two adverbs together?

Is it correct to use two adverbs side by side in a sentence? For example:

"I take my responsibility here tremendously seriously."

Thanks!!

With a pair of -ly adverbs, it is grammatically possible and probably too prevalent, but stylistically ugly and should generally be avoided in some way. Other combinations are fine: 'very seriously'.

Thank you so much for the reply! Using the same sentence as an example, would the word "seriously" be modifying the verb "take"? If so, what would the word "tremendously" be considered- an intensifier? I am stretching way back to high school English here to try to settle a debate. I agree the sentence is awkward, but I do think it is grammatically correct.

Thanks again!!

Your reach does not exceed your grasp. Yes, seriously modifies take and tremendously is an intensifier of seriously if you wish to subclassify.
