Using thereto/Thereby etc on IELTS

Hello everyone,

I have some questions. I am preparing for the IELTS exam and wonder whether should I use thereto/thereby/ etc where is possible. I am not sure that It is a good idea or not and what are the effects of using them, negative or positive.

Of course, I mean that they are used correctly and accuretly.
