Using 'there' twice in a sentence

Hello, good people of EnglishForward! I've currently faced this argument that using 'there' twice in a sentence is perfectly fine. The sentence was 'There might not be any chargers there' and by 'chargers' I mean phone battery chargers. To me, although I'm not a native English speaker, it sounds a little bit "off", or awkward. I know that those two 'there's (is this the right way to write it as plural..?) have different functions and I suppose the sentence is grammatically correct. What is more important, I occasionally hear people saying similar sentences. Are they acceptable, though? I mean, they are probably fine in a spoken language but if I were to write a formal paper, I wouldn't write a sentence in such a way. Please lend me your precious time and knowledge. Thank you!

Ah, thank you Aspara Gus, you have my gratitude.

Now that I know it's perfectly fine and acceptable, I would also like to know if it is fine in a formal paper / writing.

Would you please help me on this?

"When jhon reached the office there was nobody there so he sat down to wait"
Using (there) two times ,is it fine when "the office" as a location is already mentioned in the sentence..
Or it should be like

"When rahul reached the office there was nobody/nobody was there so he sat down to Wait"
