Using the word hot...

Hi everybody!
I know this sounds a little bit stupid....but days ago i was chatting with a friend from USA ,we were talking about weather.........because the way people use the word hot .....i could not tellwhich one is the right one when you mean it is really hot here;i am hot...or i am feeling very hot or i feel hot.
can anyone help ??????i really wonder about...

All are possible utterances about the weather, but these two are the obvious choices: I'm hot. It's hot. And these two might more likely be used if the speaker thought he was running a fever: I'm feeling very hot.
