Using the verb enroll without a preposition

Hello, ..

Would you please take a look at the following sentence:


John was accepted at the master program, but he never enrolled.

-Is this sentence correct?

Yes. but he never enrolled in it is implicit.

The use of "enrolled" is correct, but "master" should, I assume, be "masters" (or "Masters"; capitalisation of this is variable), and "at" doesn't seem the best choice to me. I would use "into" or "for".
