Using the verb 'carry'

Carrying a little of the ashes (from your mother, for example) as a memento, in some way, but not necessarily in a piece of jewellery, is 'carry' the most appropriate verb?

Thanks!

train lime 286 is 'carry' the most appropriate verb? If the ashes are in your hand, it is a good verb to use. But that seems a rather morbid thing to do.

You can say you keep some of her ashes with you. It would probably be best to say what they're in.
