Using "the" more than once when talking about the same subject?

My question would be if i should use "the" when i start a new paragraph, but i'm still writing about the same subject.

For example the whole article is about a house and i'm starting to write that article.

An example "The house in the picture is big. It simply looks just gigantic....(more sentences here)"

Starting a new paragraph:

"The house was abandoned two years ago. Now a family lives in it...(more sentences here).

My question is, should i use the second "the" in my second paragraph. Can i just start with "house" since it is already obvious that i'm writing about the same house, or i still should keep "the"? Or maybe i can use "the" or i can just skip it and in both ways it would be fine?

"House was abandoned two years ago" is always incorrect, whatever the context (except in an abbreviated style not appropriate here). Because "house" is a singular countable noun, it must have an article or other determiner. " is the obvious choice.

Other grammatical possibilities are "This house was ...", "My house was ...", etc., depending on context.
