Grammar

Using "the devoted" in a sentence.

Hi,

Is the following sentence grammatically correct?

An expecting mother tells her unborn son, "If you’ll become the devoted in your family, I will be proud that I was the vessel, which carried you into this family."

Explanation: if her son will grow up to be a devoted son, husband and father for his own family, then she'll be proud to be his mother.

Thanks in advance, AL
