Using 's

I would like to know what is the proper way to say "Merry Christmas from the Warren's" The last name is Warren. I say it should be 's but my daughter says Warrens is correct. Just curious to see who is right. If it is the last name Bates, should it be "Merry Christmas from the Bates' "?

Jane Warren, Jim Warren, and their daughter Jessica Warren are the Warrens. Merry Christmas from the Warrens.

If you last name is Bates, then it's the Bateses. Since that might look and sound a bit awkward, you can say "from the Bates family."
