using "has or have" i

I have a question for the following 2 sentences:

I now realize how my upbringing, lifetime education, work and training experiences [HAVE or HAS] prepared me to be an educational leader. My life experiences, coupled with my having numerous overseas living and travel adventures, [HAVE or HAS] uniquely prepared me for your challenging international teaching position. Please help...thanks Emotion: wink

I'd choose "have" for the first sentence, since there are several subjects. On the other hand, I'd write "has" for the second one, since only "my life experience" is the real subject, the rest is a kind of parenthesis.
