Hi everyone. I am suppose to write some responses to questions about Lord of the Flies. For example, one of the question is What does Piggy tell Ralph about himself?
For questions about a book, do i answer it in past or present tense?? I am thinking about past because what happened in the book, Lord of the flies, occured in WW2, which is the past. I am kind of confused and I do not know what tense to use...
please help
thanks in advance

I suppose if the question is in the present, the answer can be, too. Piggy tells Ralph ... World War II has nothing to do with it.

World War II has nothing to do with it.
If you retell the story of Lord of the Flies , you are simply recalling what you read.
Even if it is a science fiction story that takes place in 2587, you can use the past when you tell somebody the story you read.
