Using past tenses

I have a question about past tenses.

Could you please tell me whether or not I am right.

I have an idea that I can use the tense like tool that add an additional information about the action.

Example:

1. I have found what we looked for (I use past simple here just to inform of the fact that we looked for something in the past)

2. I have found what we were looking for( I use past continuous here to show that some time ago we were in the process of looking for something)

3. I have found what we had been looking for.(I use past perfect continuous to infor the we had spent some time looking fof something)

Could you please tell me if I have made miskes here in my examples.

Looking forward to see the answer.
