Using only the active voice wherever possible - good?

Hello,

Could you please opine whether using only the active voice wherever
possible in an essay really strengthens an essay or the passive voice
has the same expressive power as active?

Hi Victor, Very, very generally speaking, active voice does work that way. But passive plays its part, for example in describing processes. Clive
