Using notwithstanding

Hello,

Is it ok to use 'notwithstanding' in all these combinations?

Notwithstanding the delay, they played on.
They played on, notwithstanding the delay. (is a comma necessary here?)
The delay notwithstanding, they played on.

Are all these combos okay, or is there a specific order?

Regards,
