Using "multiple" in English

I have a sentence:

I have finished modifying the compiler to run its optimization process multiple times until there's nothing else to be optimized.

The word "multiple" in that sentence is considered inappropriate

by my professor. I'm confused about why that word is inappropriate. If it's inappropriate, what should I do to correct it ?

I mean my professor, not processor. This sentence is grammatically correct. The only thing that bugs me is that "multiple" was considered inapproriate by my professor. I need a native speaker to explain why it is inapproriate because I can't figure out why.

'multiple' suggests a fixed number greater than one. What you mean is 'repeatedly'.

I have ... to run its optimization process repeatedly until there's nothing ....
