Using If clause type 2

hello everybody,

I'm working on the three types of If clause :

If , for instance , I have an exam in 01/10/10 and I want to say that if I study hard from knom until the day befor the exam , that maybe I will succeed and pass the exam. So I'm not really sure !!

Accoding to the rules below .
1) If I study hard, I will succeed

> doesn't comply with the hypothese since I'm not sure that I will succeed

> I souldn't use the future.

2) If I studied hard, I would succeed ==> not conform because I'm not talking in the past, studying take place from now until the day before the exam !!!

Therefore, netheir the first nor the third if clause rule are appropriate. It's the same for the third one.
however, i will try to use : If I work hard , I would pass the exam.

Is this sentence correct ? if it's not, how could I express my idea ??

remark : I suppose that to express an action that we don't know it will happen or not .we should use would ( but I'm not sure !!).

thanks in advance.
