Using i.e city name

If it's not possible, please transfer me to my own district i.e City or somewhere near it.

Is the use of i.e City correct in the sentence?

I probably wouldn't use "i.e." there, though. You could use "etc." more effectively: ...district, city, etc.

I think I know what you are asking. Say your hometown is in the same district as Ouagadougou. You could write "If it's not possible, please transfer me to my own district, i.e., Ouagadougou or somewhere near it." The Latin abbreviation "i.e." is always set off with two commas and always has its two periods. It is pronounced "that is", by the way.
