Using "go + bare infinitive"

Is this okay to say? "Can we go play in the park?" Using "go" implies that I'll be leaving my current position. I realize it's not necessary to include "go", but I'd like to know if it's okay.

" It's okay to say, but I'd consider it casual. Of course "play in the park" makes us think of children. But, "Well, I have to go fix the car" is adult enough.

"Let's go see a movie" is the same basic idea.

These are definitely idiomatic, and more natural than omitting the "go."
