Grammar

Using do/does with everybody

Hi,

Is it correct to say:
Does everybody need to bring something to drink?

I got confused because of the following reasons:
Everybody is normally treated in grammar as singular. Hence we should use needs instead of need. I also read that does is used with singular subjects.

Should we tell it this way?
Does everybody needs to bring something to drink?

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Richards Peter.

How about changing the question:?Should everybody bring a drink? When I'm unsure about how something sounds, I change the wording to mean the same. It's the beauty of English grammar.
