Using determiners for uncountable nouns

Hi all,


Does any of the following uncountable nouns in these sentences need a kind of determiner, please?


I saw bicycle trace yesterday.

He felt great sorrow.

It was great sorrow for him.

Frog skin is slimy.

we had heavy snow last year.

I saw bicycle trace tracks yesterday. (I assume you mean 'tracks', though there are a lot of other words that will also fit there.)

He felt great sorrow. OK

It was a great sorrow for him. (because of the adjective 'great')

Frog skin is slimy. OK

We had heavy snow
