Using comparatives

Is this sentence correct? :

The lower the precision value is, the more precision you'll get

or should I use 'less' instead of 'lower'?,

The less the precision value is, the more precision you'll get

Or both are incorrect ?

It should be stressed that the precision value is a real number and precision is the quality of being exact. Thank you beforehand for any help.
