Using comma after but

If a sentence starts with but then should I use a comma after but?

Hi, Usually, no comma goes after but when it starts a sentence. Just make sure you used but correctly at the beginning of your sentence because we usually do not start a sentence with a conjunction. Regards

Usually, no comma goes after but when it starts a sentence. Just make sure you used but correctly

at the beginning of your sentence because we usually do not start a sentence with a conjunction.

You normally don't even need a comma after "but" in the middle of a sentence. For appearance' sake, we let the comma before it serve as the first comma of the parenthetical: He was drunk, but(,) despite that, he said his lines flawlessly.
