Using both after comma

Hello Friends,

Asif is a Muslim and gender-fluid, both oppressed minorities in India.

I want to convey that Muslims are an oppressed community, and gender-fluid people are also an oppressed community, and that Asif is both. Does the above line convey that, or is there a better way to put it?

Thanks, friends.

Your sentence conveys what you want to say. No problem. If you wanted to express it very formally, you could write Asif is a Muslim and gender-fluid, both of which are oppressed minorities in India.
